Anita Jacobs Arts provides freelance festival and event production, creative performing arts curation, and consulting for artists, museums  and cultural organizations.  With over 25 years of leadership experience in non-profit arts administration, I specialize in quirky and original programming featuring global and American roots music, multi-disciplinary arts, and celebrations of culture and food. I have a passion for collaborative staff and volunteer teambuilding, innovative audience development and community building.

I live for those moments when a festival audience leaps to their feet with joy and dances to a Haitian band they have never heard of, a Victorian Insectorium causes uncontrollable giggling among strangers, toddlers and teens collaborate on a 50-foot pumpkin mandala, a film about indigenous chocolate brings an auditorium to tears, elderly folks wildly dance on the grass with a cluster of giant cat puppets, and shy teenagers become warriors on a cosplay fashion show catwalk…
